FROM OUR BISHOP

The City of Grace is the Fulfillment of and direct result of the Divine vision given of God to our Pastor James R. Brooks Sr. and is the 2nd Church to come out of Holy Grace Memorial Temple Community Church our home church  founded by our Bishop Dr. Dolores Brooks in 1972.

The City of Grace was founded by divine inspiration and  stands on every word of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and is purposed to sustain divine worship and the rights and ordinances of the Christian religion. We engage therefore by the aid of the Holy Spirit,  we endeavor to walk together in Christian love and to strive for the advancement of this church and our local community in knowledge, holiness, and comfort, to promote its prosperity, spirituality, ordinances, discipline and teachings to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the relief of the poor, the body of Christ and the spreading of the gospel through all nations.

 

We at The City of Grace promise to cover one another in brotherly love, to remember each other in prayer, to aid in times of sickness and distress, to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy of speech, to be slow to take offense but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Our vision includes: A Multi-purpose Center, An Adult Education Center with Computer training, Carpentry and Life skills, A Human Resource Center that focuses on Job search assistance and Resume writing Skills.
